Where are you located?

We are located alongside the O&W Rail Trail. Our address is 194 Main Street Hurleyville, NY 12747. Click here to see the map of the O&W Rail Trail.

Is the road public?

Yes it is. When on the trail, please keep to the right and ride single file. Please be respectful of others who may be walking or also riding. Ring the bell as you are passing by to warn others that you are approaching. The trail is for everyone to use and we want to be as respectful as possible so we can continue riding each and every season!

Where can I park?

There is ample parking onsite as well as nearby municipal lots.

What is included in the rental and what should I bring?

Each rental is equipped with a helmet. Rollerblade rentals will also come with elbow, knee, and wrist guards. For an additional fee, customers can rent baskets and bike locks. We suggest you bring a water bottle and athletic clothing. Snowshoes come as a pair and strap on to any winter boot. You should wear warm, waterproof boots with thick socks. Dress in layers! Items available for purchase include water bottles, snacks, sunscreen, dog treats, merchandise, hand warmers, and more!

Do I have to reserve my rentals online?

We prefer online bookings in advance. We certainly welcome walk-ins too. For groups of 10 or more, we will personalize your experience. Contact us directly. Renters must be 15 or older or accompanied by an adult. In the winter, please call first to make sure there is enough snow on the trails and the conditions are suitable for walking.

What is your cancellation policy?

You must book online a minimum of 6 hours before your anticipated rental.

UP TO 24 HOURS BEFORE YOUR RESERVATION: You may reschedule your reservation
for a $5 fee per item.

UNDER 24 HOURS OR ON THE DAY OF YOUR RESERVATION: You will NOT receive a
refund or be able to reschedule. Why? Your rental items are reserved for
YOU, making it impossible for others to rent them.

NO SHOWS: After 1 hour from the start of your reservation, we reserve the right to rent your bike to another customer and you will not receive a refund.

INCLEMENT WEATHER: If you are notified by Fortress Bikes about your reservation being cancelled
due to inclement weather conditions (ie. rain, sleet, rapid post-storm
flooding), you may reschedule at no additional cost. You should understand
that future reservations may be limited due to availability.

No shows will be charged the full price.

Are you handicap accessible?

Yes! The trail is paved and accessible.
